THE GREAT SUMMER STEWARDSHIP
A unique seasonal business opportunity to steward a serene retreat space in Northern Nova Scotia. Use the existing infrastructure to bring your own vision to life! Already successful as a corporate and community gathering space, FireLoch Gathering Place and Retreat is looking to partner with someone ready to lead something meaningful for the summer (tourist!) season.
Each summer, our space quiets down because we are so busy all winter and need time to rest.
And each spring/summer, we ask the same question:
Who has new ideas for summertime in this space?
The Opportunity
This isn’t a rental. It’s not a blank canvas either. Fireloch is a place that already knows how to provide and welcome people for rest, for connection, for learning.
And now, for a season, we’re opening it up to someone who feels ready to step in and steward it forward.
Someone with a proven offering.
A clear sense of what they bring.
And a desire to root that work in something real.
This will be a seasonal land-lease/ retreat centre takeover where the right partner will negotiate the amount of time they want to "own" during the tourist season of June-Sept/October. This could be a one or multi-season commitment, giving you time to test and run your own successful business onsite at FireLoch.
What This Looks Like
• Making use of our fully developed outdoor wellness retreat space with flexible spaces and on-site amenities (dome, sauna, pizza oven, etc) to enhance the experience.
• A unique, immersive setting rooted in nature with nearby lake access and multi-use + outdoor spaces that support diverse programming
• Available during the prime tourist season summer months, potentially starting in 2026?
• Designed for sober gatherings, experiences and events or businesses that can make use of the beautiful outdoor facilities
You bring your offering. We provide the place.
This will be the right fit for those who:
• already run retreats, workshops, or immersive experiences
• have a concept that’s been tested and is ready to grow
• can operate independently and sustainably
• are financially prepared to run a seasonal offering
• feel aligned with at least one of our core pillars of rest, connection, and learning
• are excited to launch or expand your business
And most importantly…you understand that this isn’t just about running a business here. It’s about caring for a place while you do it.
A Different Kind of Takeover
This is not about making noise. It’s about making something that matters.
It’s a great fit for someone who:
• Leads with intention
• Builds quietly but powerfully
• Sees the potential in both people and place
• Is interested in continued summer growth opportunities that grows our community, year over year
• Loves the land and all things Nova Scotia
